Our Story
Emerald Luxury Coaches is a new brand and a new concept in motorhome conversions, but we have been building our business since 1996, when we started producing high-quality trailer conversions. Emerald conversions are built exclusively on the renowned Prevost X3 chassis and body shell, and the Emerald concept provides our customers with a thoughtfully designed menu of choices in optional equipment and design features. Based on our extensive knowledge of this market and our experience with customer desires, the options menu carefully balances customer tastes with manufacturing efficiency.
Starting with the best shell in the industry, we maintain that level of quality throughout the conversion process – using only the finest and most durable equipment, hardware and materials. We select and mill the hardwood lumber for our cabinets and trim, and custom-fit these components in each individual installation to achieve exceptional material quality, fit and finish.
Emerald CEO John Walker is first and foremost a craftsman who insists on high-quality work and meticulous attention to detail – a continuous pursuit of perfection that inspires everyone on the Emerald team.
The conversion is completed in our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Stephenville, Texas, which is about 60 miles southwest of Fort Worth. This facility was designed and built exclusively for Emerald production, completely separate from our trailer conversion operations.
The result is an end product with all the quality, luxury, performance and durability of a fully custom-built conversion, but at a considerably lower price point.
Emerald production is geared toward quality, and toward a finished product that is easy to service and customer-friendly in its operation. This means using technologies that are practical, easy to learn and simple to use. Each step in the production process involves scrupulous quality control, and the job will not proceed to the next step until the quality is right. The watchwords for the process are “don’t rush – quality trumps speed.”
